The coin page for KM# A64.2 Quarter Dollar (https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces4942.html) has a year line for 1854S with a mintage of 20,000. There is no record anywhere that I can find that this coin ever existed. The San Francisco mint only opened in 1854 and only minted the dollar and 2-1/2 dollar gold coins. They produced no quarters in 1854.
There are about 9 Numista members that claim to have this coin. Is it possible to contact these members and ask for proof (pictures) of its existence?
