Bank of Ireland printed some of its own notes in Dublin.
It is currently not possible to select Bank of Ireland as a printer from the list of printers. We need to add 'Bank of Ireland' to the list of printers for this purpose.
Cita: "stratocaster"Hello, thank you for the request
This is already in the database:

Are you referring to a different printer?
He is referring to a totally different printer - of pre-1922 notes.
Bank of Ireland Note Printing Works - College Green, Dublin.
Cita: "stratocaster"Are you referring to a different printer?
Yes, I refer to a different printer.
I am referring to the Bank of Ireland, which printed its own notes up until 1958. Post-1958, Bank of Ireland banknotes were printed by De La Rue.
The printer should be listed in the printing database as: 'Bank of Ireland'; if the place name of the printer is to be listed then the listing should be 'Bank of Ireland, Dublin'.
Having 'Bank of Ireland' listed in the database as a printer would enable its addition where appropriate in the banknote listings.

The Bank of Ireland's note printing works in Dublin would not have been printing notes for Bank of Ireland's issues up in Northern Ireland.
All of Northern Ireland's notes were printed in England - except for Northern Bank's 1999 & 2000 Millennium 5 Pounds, which was printed in Canada.
Cita: "stratocaster"I cannot find any reference for this printer. Would it be possible to point me to one, please?
Yes.
It is printed on some of the notes. The modern series H banknotes first introduced in 1922 have the place of printing stated on the reverse of each note.
The reverse of a One Pound note is illustrated on irishpapermoney.com showing the text ‘Printed at the Bank of Ireland, Dublin’ and its location on the note.
Additionally, there is a reference to Hall (1949), the definitive work on Bank of Ireland, stating that the bank printed its own notes from mid-1784.

What is the reference for this with regard to Bank of Ireland notes 1929-1958?
From what I understand, earlier notes seem to have been printed in England by Portals or William Wilson so would not start in 1784. Any more info on the effective starting date of operations?

The modern/current one in Sandyford is the Central Bank and is already in the printer' list named "Currency Centre" with alternative name as "Bank of Ireland".

The Currency Centre in Sandyford, Dublin is also known as the Irish Mint - even though it is owned by the Central Bank of Ireland.
The Central Bank of Ireland, formerly Currency Commission Ireland (1927-1942) is the Irish Central Bank and financial regulatory authority, similar to Banque de France in scope.
Bank of Ireland is a joint stock commercial bank, similar to BNP in France.
Bank of Ireland used to issue banknotes in Ireland, prior to the creation of the Central Bank of Ireland in 1943, and its UK subsidiary still issues Sterling notes in Northern Ireland, under similar rules to the Scottish banks’ issues in Scotland.
