Hi folks , new member going through late mothers property. Have had lots of success identifying things through using the site and help in the banknotes forum also but i cannot find much about this coin. ive tried to not group all unidentified coins together but i have little i can even hazard a title at with this one.

As with my others , the backstory seems to be family picking things up during second world war period.

Many thanks for the help .

It's from Iraq, dated 1938.

It would help people trying to identify your coins if you just measured the diameter yourself rather than putting a scale on top. Weights would help too.
Thankyou both very much . i did try and provide as much help as i could , as a note, unless you own a set of particularly accurate scales weighing isn't terribly practical for the general layman. However i totally understand you guys must become a little irked at us people passing through..

Not irked at all. We love identifying and helping. My point was it's not so easy to measure accurately from a picture with a scale in it. Much easier to do it with coin in hand. Point of fact: A digital scale accurate to 0.001g can be bought on Amazon and other places for under $20. If you have a lot of coins to identify it is well worth the minimal expense.
