Cita: "makarije"Just bought this nice Victoria penny. I'm pretty new in numismatics, so I'm not sure how to grade it.
What do you think guys?

It looks like it was cleaned with something harsh.
Not bad at all, a great companion to the half crowns and florins. I would say cleaned historically as the colour has returned. Conditionwiase GG is being a bit generous I would say aVF as Victoria has a lot fo wear and her face is quite flat. The other side is almost VF.
I love coins. Especially silver, gold and anything really old.

So happy to get my first coin denominated higher than 2 Euros.

Cita: "COINMAN1"After a terrific exchange with a collector in the USA, I acquired the following coins

All are from Hutt River Province with a face value of $5
Series:- Fathers of Baseball

All coins, where necessary, have been added to the Numista database, and others have has a photograph added.

This is a great start to 2021

I have never come across these - even as loose single coins.

The Principality of Hutt River's coins are of interest to me, as it is now a dead country since August 2020.

Yes, they are part of the British Commonwealth series.

little bit late to share my January acquisitions but here they are:

Clockwise from top right:
Mercantile Bank $100 (1974) - I had another one for a while but traded it off for this one because it was in better condition.
Chartered Bank $5 (1967) - paid good money for this one.
HSBC $1000 (1985) - paid even more money for this one.
Chartered Bank $50 (1982) - one of my personal favorites.

-Nice adds for the beginning of 2021 "KS5331"
I think almost every world currency collector likes the Mercantile Bank $100 banknote as I have seen them go for a pretty penny. They're tough to get in high grades & very popular. That's the first Chartered $5 I've seen (besides in a catalogue) & it is in great shape. Quality over Quantity!
-Congrats!

The Chartered Bank $5 is lovely. Something about the font gives it an early 1900's look - like a latin or American banknote.
It is in great condition.
Like the Mercantile Bank note - great colours.
long thread this month. I have more scandinavian coins -
