I love the tagging; it's really making sense! One thing I STRONGLY miss though, if the ability to add multiple tags for a coin. For example, it could be both a 'world crown' and a 'ship' and a 'GB' coin!

Would be forever grateful if this could be added. thank you :)
This is possible since day one or am I misunderstanding something?

Try to add it to your collection and you can only select 1 collection tag for it though.

Eg. If you look at my collectcon under "ships and trains" I'd like to add it to my world crowns collection too. But you can only move it, not have 2 tags for it.
Ah okay you don't mean the thematic tags at all.
But in reality you can't put the same coin into multiple folders/collections too :°.
If you wan to see them together you could search your collection with the tag train or ships and boats etc.

In mine [collection] most of my headline coins are members of 2-3 tags! (often 'Ships' and 'World Crowns' or 'GB').

It would be better to be able to tag coins which are not in my collection as well. Currently we have “wished coins” checkbox (a functional equivalent of a single nameless tag), but it is possible to wish to have coins for different reasons and with different priority.

I suggested this in a new suggestion here cause I had the same idea today:

I just thought about this idea. In regards to this statement, Imagine if you had say a binder of coins, divided into three sections. The general theme is silver, and all coins inside are silver. However, each subsection is it's own category, being for example, animals, bullion, circulating, crown-sized, etc. This is how I would imagine this working. You'd have a main sub-collection you could add a coin, banknote, or token to, which you can then add separate tags to it, like for example if it was just a folder of coins with animals on it, the “broad” tag would be “animals.” You could then add another separate tag, for example, “fish”, “mammals”, “birds,” etc.

On the Numista map in the “my collection” tab, it would work the same as it would normally. The broader collection would display all coins in it, and selecting a sub category would only display those coins.

I face a dilemma when trying to figure out a way to organize my coins on Numista, because each one can fit into multiple categories. I believe something like this, being able to add tags and sub-tags to each individual coin would help aid in having a more cohesive and organized online collection.

Again the argument could be made that you could just search in your collection for specific tags, but not all coins have the same tags, or maybe it's separated into a different/broader theme that the tags can't cover at all or effectively. This is why I see having this would be beneficial, and I'm sure many other collectors would agree.

I agree strongly with Seal above. I have many coins that I would love to have in multiple collections at once. For context, I sort my coins by Ancient, Medieval, Early Modern, Modern. I also have a special collection for Olympic coins. It would very nice to be able to have my ancient Olympian hemiobol show up in both my Olympic & Ancient collections, as one example.
