It's a very large coin. I can't find it anywhere online. I see one dollar versions that are similiar.
I bought it off an old man selling junk in an alley in Changchun China.
Hi, how big is 'large'? I am afraid it is not a real coin. Is it atrackted by a magnet?
...you can run,  but you can't hide...
Looks like a fake/souvenir of this coin

Close to two inches in diameter. I don't have a magnet but it's relatively heavy if that matters. I thought it was a novelty coin when I bought it. It looks fairly worn and I think it would have to have been made prior to the CCP. I would also guess that it came from around this city Changchun.

I showed a man selling coins the other day a picture and he knew what it was because he showed me the size with his hand. He said it was good but I don't if that means anything.

I didn't think it was real when I bought it but what was the purpose of it?
The other member asked you to check it with magnet to see if it is silver or not.

Such denomination was never issued by the Republic of China.

The point of production of this "coin" or other chinese "silver" fake coins is to gain profit. If they sell such coins for $1-2, it is already a big profit for them. And if more than that, even better for them.
80 % of the old Chinese coins are not genuine.
Never buy, unless you have studied it deeply with pics, catalogs, asking advice...
Or you can just pay $3 dollars to an old homeless man on the street for his big coin with no thought or care if it's real or not and just be curious if anyone knows what it is.
Unless the poor man, is not poor, just looks like, because had received many USD from many curious boys... :8D
Thanks for your help.
