Repairing a Binder [resuelto]

Good day to you all,

About two months ago, I was gifted some Lighthouse binders, and was very impressed with the quality and beauty of them. However, one of them has broken:

Has anyone got an idea of how to repair the detached binder mechanism or do you think it would be better just to trash it? I really do quite like the binder and would hate to see it go if it’s possible to fix. I don’t think that I’ve overloaded it in any way, as all of the other binders are working just fine with no quality issues while holding the same amount of sheets. It broke with the top snapping off first and then the bottom (from all of the extra weight, I suppose), luckily no banknotes were damaged, though!

Any suggestions would be much appreciated,

Daniel

A pop-rivet should do it.
