Interesting, but a drop in the bucket (& a sad commentary) when compared to the momentum of the BTCA (Better than Cash Alliance) which has 80 members*. And its not Austria (nor Germany) which should be enshrining the right to pay by cash (its other nations' businesses fast-tracking cash to the sidelines).

Why should a nation need to enshrine the people's right to pay with cash? Why would any organization buy into the BTCA propaganda (other than to profit by it), Why is the BTCA still a UN supported entity? Who pushes retailers into installing digital self-check outs? These are some of the questions that come to my mind.

*(It keeps growing- the last time I checked it was 77 members in 2022 from Tom Wolf post on Numismatics & CBDC)

The answer is quite obvious: in cash transactions, banks/governments/tax authorities are left out and cannot easily lay their hands on the money. In digital, each of these robbers takes their percentage from every transaction.

To say nothing about exerting total control over our lives.
