​You did get me thinking ... but didn't get it quite right I think, but always happy to help you get rid of some bills that bother you ;-)

Keeping it simple (applies to most of your codes, but not all) I think you have a location code like C7, C9, BQ, BR (the first probably for loose Coins, the second 2 maybe for Books) and then a sequential number between two M's (M***M) in what seems to be a Base 37 Heptatrigesimal (all numbers and letters and the symbol ~) which means you could have over 45,000 coins in every location. Or is that too simple :°
