Descripción

This 2007 BU Set of coins was minted by The Royal Australian Mint in Canberra and issued by the Reserve Bank of New Zealand & New Zealand Post. The set was packaged in a blister type folding coincard and was inserted in a slipcase.

The set contains five standard definitive coins, 10c, 20c, 50c, $1 & $2.

This was the first New Zealand BU Set to feature the new Copper plated Steel 10 cent coin.

This was the first New Zealand BU Set to feature the new small size Nickel plated Steel 20 cent coin.

This was the first New Zealand BU Set to feature the new small size Nickel plated Steel 50 cent coin.

The NCLT $5 coin is celebrating the Tuatara. They are reptiles endemic to New Zealand, belonging to the genus Sphenodon. Although resembling most lizards, they are part of a distinct lineage, the order Rhynchocephalia. Their name derives from the Māori language, and means "peaks on the back".
