Descripción

This 1981 BU Set of coins was minted by The Royal Mint in Llantrisant and issued by the New Zealand Government Treasury. It was issued in a brown plastic wallet.

The set contains six standard definitive coins. 1c, 2c, 5c, 10c, 20c & 50c.

The NCLT $1 coin is commemorating HM The Queen visiting New Zealand between 12-20 October 1981, following a Commonwealth Heads of Government conference in Melbourne, Australia. The reverse design of this coin symbolises the close relationship between New Zealand and the United Kingdom. It features the leaf and acorns of the English Oak, and the leaves and seed cone of the New Zealand Kauri.

This NCLT $1 coin has the G.J. Berry Portrait of Queen Elizabeth II.
