Egmont was founded in Copenhagen, Denmark, back in 1878. It was originally called "P. Petersen, Printers" and from 1914 it got renamed to “Gutenberghus” which it was called up untill 1992, where it got its current name. It was started by the then 17 year old Egmont Harald Petersen
It is one of the oldes publisher in Scandinavia.
