(en) The northern hemisphere is the natural habitat of polar bears, where they live on the shores of the polar region. There they find an important source of food: seals. They are solitary animals and very good swimmers. Since the bear's fur and fat are highly sought after, the polar bear population suffers from intensive hunting. Today there are restrictions in place for the hunting of polar bears.
