Extremely rare and only published by Dimitrijevic but not as well preserved condition as the one above. Slightly different variant and also one of the most beautiful types of Serbian medieval coins. Not published by Jovanovic. Uncleaned condition and lovely patina. We will call this crown round crown type 1.

Very rare and an early imperial issue (around 1346), possibly the first one with Latin legends, it followed closely the "coronation" type. Virtually all surviving specimens, rare as they are, are found in hoards near the Danube delta area called Dobrudja, where they moved with eastward commerce and even though typically clipped and/or counter-marked to fit the monetary system of the contemporary Bulgarian state this one escaped the melting fate and entered local circulation.
